Lotus Niraja is a wonderful Baltimore dancer and instructor. Give Lotus' classes a try if the Piper Method's class times don't work for you or even if you are devoted to really developing your technique with the Piper Method but realize the benefit of taking advantage of taking classes and workshops with other instructors. Lotus has a very performance oriented approach that compliments the Piper Method nicely and many dancers will take classes with both instructors (usually picking one instructor as their "Bellydance Home").

Like Piper Hunt, Suhaila has created a full method to teach bellydance and give some structure to the education of this dance form. If you are ever in Northern California, you should make an effort to take one of her classes or a workshop. Suhaila's mother, Jamila Salimpour, was Driana's first bellydance teacher back when she lived in Santa Rosa, California.

Shira's website is one of the first sites Driana ever visited for Bellydance and it remains one of the best to go to for information on everything from teachers, costuming, history, general advice and how to's. Really, just everything bellydance presented in an organized and fun manner. Driana refers dancers to Shira's site all the time because if it is about bellydance and if it is not already on Shira's site then most likely she links to it. Obviously, Shira's site is a must visit site for every bellydancer!
