Sam Boyd 01

Baltimore BellyPalooza 2004, Sam lookin' sassy while wearing a Daughters of Rhea/Piper Method T-shirt with logo designed by Driana.
SAM has been shopping at Comics Kingdom since Jay Bull owned the store. She has traveled far from the little girl who annoyed Jay by reading in the store. She started bagging and boarding for Sheldon and Driana a few years ago while still attending the Baltimore High School for the Arts. She is our manga expert. She still reads in our store but only what she is going to buy!

Driana convinced SAM to take her bellydance class in 2003 and she had her first recital in February of 2004 as part of Driana's Level 1 class. She was awesome -- a fearless performer.

We love SAM because she is always willing to lend a hand such as at the Baltimore BellyPalooza 2004 event. (Visit www.daughtersofrhea.com for more information on the annual Baltimore BellyPalooza.)

We are proud to carry CARPE COMICS in our store. CARPE COMICS is a two issue anthology put out by SAM and her friends while still in High School with a grant from ??? (Sam send me this info and a link for any web info on Carpe comics or the grant givers!!).

SAM is currently developing her talent studying art in college in Minneapolis, MN. College life must be going well because in her last email to us she reported that Neil Gaiman signed her hand.

We wish SAM all the best and know she will realize her full potential. When SAM makes her name in the comic industry, we will have her first signing at our store!!!

Hugs,
Everyone at Comics Kingdom
